Product News: Douglas Kent’s Shibari Land Back In Stock!

Thursday, August 25th, 2011

A few months ago the publisher’s of Douglas Kent’s Complete Shibari instructional books gave us the bad news that they were going out of print. The resultant rush of customers all over the world trying to get their hands on one of the last copies pushed prices for the Land volume well above $150 in the United States.

Well, the good news is that all that interest has sparked a re-print of both volumes, and as of today, Douglas Kent’s Complete Shibari Volume 1: Land, is back in stock!

And no, we’re not charging $150 a copy.

It’s only $50.00 and if you’re a rope enthusiast you can’t do much better than this wonderful book, complete with step-by-step instructions and images.

Product News: Douglas Kent’s Shibari Land Back In Print

Sunday, July 31st, 2011

It’s been unavailable in oz for some time now so when the publisher of Douglas Kent’s best-selling Complete Shibari Land told us it’s coming back we were very excited!

Land explores the essential ground-based ties and forms of shibari. With short, clear explanations and over 440 lavish, step-by-step illustrations and photographs, Douglas Kent introduces the basic “building blocks”, then guides you in applying those basics to create a full range of beautiful and exciting ground-based shibari ties.

This is not a “knot book” – if you can tie an overhand knot, you already know half the knots you’ll ever need. This practical, hands-on guide to doing shibari covers everything from choosing and preparing rope, to scene safety, to the techniques… and the reasoning behind the techniques.

Since going out of print the book has reached prices as high as US$190 as fans of rope tying and bondage do their best to get their hands on the very limited number of copies still out there.

All that changes on 29th August, when we will get a whole new stack of copies!!! Mark the date in your diary – you don’t want to miss out!

New Books: Douglas Kent’s Complete Shibari

Saturday, February 5th, 2011

Some people think it’s suprising that so many Australian’s are getting into some type of bondage or rope play, but when books like Douglas Kent’s Complete Shibari not only make it easier, but also show just how beautiful, sensual, and fun it can be – it’s not really that surprising.

It’s taken some time for these two books to get an Australian release, and since he happens to be the author of one of our most popular rope books “Shibari You Can Use” , we were VERY keen to get a look at what the online reviewers call “the best of the best”. And we were not dissapointed.

So it is with a naughty gleem in our eye that we introduce you to two books that will change your rope play forever:
