Rule of Engagement

Doc Johnson is set to be getting some prime time exposure with news that the American pleasure product manufacturer will have their range on the CBS network show Rules of Engagement, seen here on Ten.

The maker of everything naughty will be supplying a large range of their products to dress a set in the season finale. We’ve been stocking Doc Johnson products for years and we want to say well done! To DJ for getting themselves out there, and CBS for being brave enough to show the truth we all know.

Prudity Wins Again – Sex Theme Park Demolished

Tuesday, May 19th, 2009

“Love Land” – the first sex theme park to ever be built in Asia has been quickly demolished by Chinese Authorities following a public outcry about its sexually explicit exhibits and rides.

Set to open in October in Chongqing, exhibits included a history of Chinese sexual history including art, sculpture and literature displays, as well as a host of how-to workshops. And what took months to construct took only two days to knock down!

Well, we think it’s a great idea, although we’d reconsider the park sign being straddled by a pair of ladies’ legs wearing a red thong!

Cheeky New Ad Upsets The Church(es)…

D.Vice Designer Sex Gear NZ Billboard Church

The latest New Zealand advertisement for D.Vice designer sex gear (one of our favourite ranges) is causing more agony than ecstasy for local churches. In a billboard poster four parishioners are pictured praying in a church. Three have their eyes closed and are deep in prayer whilst a fourth (a woman) is smiling whilst below her is the D.Vice logo and sell line. Local Catholic Archbishop John Dew called it “unnecessary and distasteful” to associate church with sex products – “It is an insult to anyone who recognizes a church as sacred”. D.Vice director Wendy Lee said the campaign is meant to make people laugh and was not intended to offend. The campaign featuring several similar images was designed to show people think about sex whilst doing ordinary everyday tasks such as ironing, queuing in a bank or attending church. And even though it upset the local bishop, the Advertising Standards Authority has received no formal complaints so the ads stay. Thank goodness there are bureaucrats with a sense of humour in New Zealand. How do we get them to work here?  Good on you D.Vice for a smart, fun, sex-positive campaign. Check out the D.Vice range of products here.

A condom manufacturer in France has begun using an image of Pope Benedict XVI to market its new range of prophylactics.  The unholy latex wonders are packed in a wrapper that shows the pontiff raising his hands below the phrase ‘I SAID NO!’   After last month’s proclamation by the pope against safe sex the new condom has become one of the company’s biggest selling items.  What’s next we ask – Rudd Rubbers?

The Party That Knows What You Want…

Wednesday, May 6th, 2009

Did you know that there is more censorship of adult material now than 10 years ago? When was the last time you heard a politician say something positive about the expression of human sexuality? Did you know that there is a registered political party in Australia that is representing the sexual rights of all Australians? The Australian Sex Party was established to provide us with a real voice at the federal and state levels of government when it comes to issues of sex and censorship. They give all of us an opportunity to have a direct say in how sex and gender laws are formulated in this country.

We love their bravery, their honesty, and the positive nature of their policies. Find out more about the party, and also get up to date on the latest sex and political news at
